A Clinical Service Evaluation (CSE) systematically assesses clinical services to identify areas for improvement, ensuring high standards of patient care. For the NHS Trusts, this evaluation supports informed decision-making and enhances service delivery. The aim of the partnership and the CSE is to demonstrate the benefits of Ledidi Core in research and clinical registries, which may pave the way for broader adoption within the NHS.
“Partnering with Ledidi on this evaluation of their Ledidi Core platform gives us the opportunity to assess its role in optimising clinical data management. We are focused on understanding how it could enhance the efficiency of our audits and research activities, while promoting collaboration across different specialties. A key area of interest is assessing its role in supporting improved patient outcomes. It is great to be supporting an international company like Ledidi through the Innovation Pop Up, and hopefully playing a part in their efforts to scale adoption across the UK,” said Dr. Richard Evans, Head of Business Development and Innovation, Research and Innovation Department, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the UK’s largest acute hospital trusts, a regional and national centre for specialist treatment, and a renowned research institution. Ledidi Core will be used for research projects and registries to support clinical audits and service evaluations at the Trust. The partnership involves key opinion leaders (KOLs) across multiple medical disciplines.
The CSE includes both prospective and retrospective collection of real-world data for research purposes and to support clinical audits and service evaluations to improve patient outcomes. The pilots span seven projects across four medical disciplines. All projects will facilitate collaboration between colleagues from multidisciplinary teams. The projects include:
1. Clinical audits of the Cardio-Renal Metabolic Innovative Medicines Optimisation Service to enhance services and share best practices nationally and globally.
2. Pilot of the Ledidi platform to facilitate research data collection and analysis in a cardiology project in lipid management across West Yorkshire.
3. A project to evaluate a clinical registry and remote digital monitoring for patients with inflammatory disorders.
4. Evaluation of Ledidi Core for the continuous collection and analysis of three neurosurgery and brain tumour registries, focusing on data collection, analysis, and visualisation to support monitoring and quality assurance efforts. Read the first case study here.
5. Leveraging Ledidi Core for the ongoing collection and analysis of interventional oncology (IO) registry data, specifically for IO ablation of lung, liver, and renal cancers, aiming to build a robust real-world evidence base for service evaluation.
