What is the difference between seats, plan members, and external collaborators?
An available seat lets you add a person as a plan member.
A plan member can access and collaborate across all projects in your plan.
External collaborators are invited to access specific projects only—they don't take up a seat and are paid for on a per-project basis.

What is included in your plan by default?
Ledidi is a complete platform for collaboration and project management, developed for researchers and healthcare professionals.
Most research projects and clinical registries are supported by default — including project design, data capture forms and surveys, collaboration, analysis, and dashboards.
For specialised projects such as large-scale collaborations or clinical trials, advanced configurations can be added, including randomisation, monitoring, and extended compliance tools.
Administrative and enterprise features scale with the selected plan.

I am planning to run a clinical trial and don't yet have a Ledidi user account. What should I do?
You can get a quote for your project using the Advanced features calculator to ensure it meets your clinical trial requirements. After receiving your quote, you'll be guided through a sign-up flow that creates your Ledidi account and sets up your project according to your configuration.
Alternatively, you can start with a free 30-day trial, then configure your project directly within your user account.

Can I test advanced features — for example, for my clinical trial — before going live?
You can configure your project with advanced features at no cost and validate it in a dedicated training and testing mode to ensure readiness for live operation.
A one-time startup cost applies when the project goes live, together with the cost according to your selected configuration (see the Advanced features calculator).

What if my project grows and requires additional collaborators?
You can expand your Ledidi plan at any time.
You can add more seats to your plan, so new plan members can freely collaborate across all projects in your plan.
Alternatively, you can add external collaborators — such as partners from other institutions — on a per-project basis through a simple invitation flow. These collaborators are billed separately.

What are advanced features?
Advanced features are available on a per-project basis and include capabilities like advanced randomisation, monitoring, extended compliance tools, and more. You can configure these in the Advanced features calculator or inside your Ledidi account.

Where is data stored?
Ledidi hosts all data in the AWS eu-central-1 region (Frankfurt, Germany). Data is replicated across a minimum of two Availability Zones to ensure high availability. Backups are additionally replicated to the AWS eu-north-1 region (Stockholm, Sweden) for disaster recovery. Both regions are located within the European Economic Area.

How is data secured?
Ledidi follows strict security and privacy standards, including encryption at rest, in transit, and during processing, as well as role-based access control and comprehensive audit logging.
Ledidi is compliant with GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
Optional advanced compliance tools are available for projects with extended regulatory requirements, including ICH GCP E6 (R3) and FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
