Partnership with Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for Clinical Service Evaluation

Andreas Landsverk,
Director of Partnerships

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT) has commenced a new collaboration with Ledidi to assess the impact of Ledidi Core on clinical research and data management. Through this partnership, LTHT is conducting a Clinical Service Evaluation (CSE) to explore how Ledidi Core can optimize workflows, improve collaboration, and enhance decision-making within the NHS.

Driving Data-Driven Decision-Making in Healthcare

A Clinical Service Evaluation systematically examines clinical services to identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring high standards of patient care. By leveraging Ledidi Core, LTHT aims to assess the platform’s effectiveness in supporting research projects, clinical audits, and multidisciplinary collaboration. This initiative has the potential to set a new standard for data-driven decision-making within the NHS.

“Partnering with Ledidi on this evaluation of their Ledidi Core platform gives us the opportunity to assess its role in optimising clinical data management. We are focused on understanding how it could enhance the efficiency of our audits and research activities, while promoting collaboration across different specialties. A key area of interest is assessing its role in supporting improved patient outcomes. It is great to be supporting an international company like Ledidi through the Innovation Pop Up, and hopefully playing a part in their efforts to scale adoption across the UK,” said Dr. Richard Evans, Head of Business Development and Innovation, Research and Innovation Department, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Ledidi Core in Action: Supporting Research and Clinical Audits

As one of the UK’s largest acute hospital trusts, LTHT plays a vital role in pioneering clinical research. Through this partnership, Ledidi Core is being used across multiple disciplines to support various projects, including:

1. Cardio-Renal Metabolic Innovative Medicines Optimisation Service: Conducting clinical audits to enhance services and share best practices nationally and globally.

2. Cardiology Research in Lipid Management: Piloting the Ledidi platform to facilitate research data collection and analysis across West Yorkshire.

3. Inflammatory Disorders Registry: Evaluating a clinical registry and remote digital monitoring system for improved patient care.

4. Neurosurgery and Brain Tumour Registries: Implementing Ledidi Core for continuous data collection and analysis to support monitoring and quality assurance efforts.

5. Interventional Oncology (IO) Registry: Building a robust real-world evidence base for IO ablation of lung, liver, and renal cancers.

These projects are not only enhancing internal processes at LTHT but also fostering collaboration among clinicians and researchers. The use of Ledidi Core is streamlining data management, making it easier to capture, analyze, and share critical insights that can drive better patient outcomes.

A Shared Vision for the Future

By working with Ledidi, LTHT is taking a significant step toward integrating cutting-edge technology into clinical research and service evaluation. The insights gained from this collaboration could pave the way for broader adoption of Ledidi Core across the NHS, furthering the goal of delivering data-driven, patient-centric healthcare.

With a commitment to innovation and excellence, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust continues to lead the way in leveraging technology to advance medical research and improve healthcare delivery.
